Van Acres Homestead - Goats for Hire
These aren't your average goats — they're hoofed heroes with a passion for getting things done and having a good time. Whether they’re clearing brush like pros, showing off at birthday parties, teaching kids about farm life, or nibbling their way through a tasty meadow before settling under the stars our goats are living their best lives — and they’re ready to bring the fun (and function) to yours.
From classroom visits to backyard adventures, they’re always up for a good time and a good graze.
Grazing & Brush Removal
Targeted grazing uses goats and sheep to naturally manage vegetation, control invasive species, and restore land. By carefully managing the type of animals, grazing duration, and timing, we help landowners achieve effective, eco-friendly results.
We provide everything needed for a successful project—including livestock, fencing, water systems, and on-site management—ensuring safe and efficient grazing.
This method is especially useful for areas that are difficult to maintain with traditional methods, such as steep terrain, rocky ground, or locations where chemicals and machinery aren’t ideal. While results may take time and can appear less uniform than mowing, targeted grazing is a sustainable, long-term solution.
We work with landowners, municipalities, and businesses to create customized plans based on their goals. Pricing varies depending on project size, terrain, and access to resources.
Contact us early to secure your spot—our grazing schedule fills quickly!

Unlike traditional party entertainment, goat and sheep visits offer a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience that guests of all ages will love. Our friendly goats and sheep are ready to bring smiles, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities to your special event. Whether you’re planning something small and intimate or a large community gathering, we’ll bring the animals — and the charm — right to you.
By inviting goats and sheep to your event, you’re not just choosing something different — you’re choosing joy, connection, and a little bit of nature’s magic. From backyards to barns to city parks, these gentle entertainers are ready to celebrate with you.
Educational Visits
Goats, sheep, and chickens aren’t just cute — they’re incredible teachers, too. Our educational farm visits offer hands-on experiences where groups like Girl Scouts, 4-H clubs, and school classes can learn what it really takes to care for animals and steward the land.
From feeding and grooming to collecting eggs and cleaning coops, participants get an up-close look at the daily rhythms of farm life. They’ll discover how animals contribute to regenerative agriculture, explore the science behind sustainable animal care, and leave with a deeper respect for the work that goes into raising happy, healthy livestock.

Grazing in Heaven
One of the hardest parts of this life is saying goodbye to the animals we’ve loved and cared for. Sometimes, we have to make difficult decisions out of compassion — and it never gets easier. Each goat and sheep friend who’s crossed the rainbow bridge left their hoofprints and heartprints here on the farm. We’re grateful for the time we had with them, and they’ll always be remembered with love.
