Wooly Green Grazers

Rainbow.jpg

Our Babydoll sheep are raised with care, respect, and daily attention—they're not just animals, they're cherished members of our family. While our sheep are unregistered, we do have certificates for most and are happy to share their paperwork with you. We simply choose not to register them, as our focus is on their health, temperament, and well-being—not just their papers.

Sheep are flock animals, and they thrive best when surrounded by other sheep or similar companions.

Year-Round Grazing for Land Restoration

We’re out on projects nearly year-round, using our sheep to naturally manage invasive species like Phragmites, buckthorn, and garlic mustard. When extra help is needed, we partner with our sister farm, Van Acres, and our friends at Glorious Goat Ranch to bring in goats for additional support—another great connection made through our local community.

Our team practices mob and rotational grazing with portable solar fencing. This method not only depletes the energy reserves of invasive plants but also aerates the soil through trampling and enriches it with natural fertilizer from manure. It’s a win-win for the land—and it’s excellent for the health and well-being of our sheep.

The 2026 grazing calendar is filling up FAST! Contact as us now to get on the schedule.

Market Lambs

Our lambs are pasture-raised on our property using rotational grazing and receive free-choice minerals for optimal nutrition. We track their care from birth through processing, ensuring responsible practices and a strong commitment to animal welfare.

Price: $3.50 per pound (live weight), plus processing fees

Market Weight Range: 75–130 pounds live weight

To estimate your yield:

A 150 lb live lamb × 50% = 75 lb carcass weight
75 lb carcass × 50% = 37.5 lb boneless retail product

This means you can expect about 25% of the live weight in boneless meat. For traditional bone-in cuts, the weight will be higher, but the amount of edible lean meat remains about the same.
